Italo Calvino, in his book Lezioni Americane, wrote: 'Take life lightly, for lightness is not superficiality, but gliding over things from above, without letting things weigh on your heart'. And so it is that in this wallpaper, different elements and objects connect in a series of multicoloured patchworks that confer rhythm upon the surface. They recount the dream of lightness in all its possible and wonderful forms. The practice that characterises my work is based on material research and solid craftsmanship; the focal point of this piece is the study of perception and the dichotomy between the natural and the artificial.
